When booking our property for your next vacation you can have peace of mind that we run our Vacation Rental as a fully licensed business.   Below are many of the details you can look for that will help differentiate a true business like ours from a scam site that is just out to get your money!


Listing Sites and Company Info

There are many scammers out there that prey upon renters looking to save some money and booking direct by booking direct.  They do this by stealing peoples photos off their listings and sending them to another site, or by convincing them to pay them directly through a cash app like Venmo or Zelle.

Our direct site is connected securely to a real credit card processor using Stripe.  Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1, which is the highest level of certification available in the payments industry. To put it simply, any payment information sent to Stripe is sent securely and safely.  For more information about stripe and the safety of your payments with us check out their website.  More importantly, and why scammers don’t want you to use a credit card, is credit cards give you a dispute resolution through chargebacks.  Venmo, Zelle, and the like do not.

Also scammers are of course not registered or licensed to do business as a short term rental.  Here are links to our business licenses so you can be certain we are a legitimate business.

Lastly legitimate Short Term Rental Providers are going to market their cabin at more than one listing site so they can get their name out there.  Here are a few of the listing sites besides this one that we are listed at.  Some just point back to the site, others are full fledge booking engines, and by all means if you feel more comfortable booking at a larger listing site feel free to book there, however our pricing is more on the listing sites as we have to pay to be listed there and they charge you a fee to provide the additional services they give like an increased liability insurance in most cases.
